Happy 40th Anniversary, American Cinematheque! I recall that Peter Dekom was very influential in creating the structure and organizing and securing the funding for the creation of American Cinematheque. I was hoping that he would be acknowledged for his valuable contributions.

I grew up on Roger's movies. The man gave me my first film jobs when I came to Hollywood (unpaid but I was fed). My partners and I honored him at our Fright Fest in 1981. Roger Corman IS the movies, and I still can't believe that as a child I was so terrified by "Attack of the Crab Monsters" that I didn't see it again for over 30 years. Truly marvelous.

A testament to the fact that you can never betray your country but your country can betray you! Kurosawa based this movie around the events of infamous Special Unit 731 (made into another movie by Mou tun-fei - Men Behind the Sun). After seeing the film one should consider that American troops actually caught Dr. Shiro Ishii, responsible for the war crimes in Manchuria but the US let him and his men go on the condition to hand over all documents and results. makes you wonder how this did happen. The whole of the 731 never saw justice.

watched the film last night. since finding eating raoul we have been going through a whole heap of pauls films both acted and directed by him and ive been saving shelf life for the very end,, i just sat there as the credits ran just absolutely gob smacked,, was equally in love with the film as i was blown away!

One of the great American films of the 21st century.

The tragedy is that ANIMAL HOUSE has been cancelled by generations who don't understand that it was satire and meant to be offensive.

I wish this movie was on blu ray. It doesn't seem right.

I like how he chooses to look like a registered sex offender in life. Cast him in a suitable biopic please.
